About me
As a NIH-NIGMS MARC Research Assistant, I collaborate with Dr. Margaret Friend and other researchers in the Infant and Child Development Lab, where we study how the COVID-19 pandemic affected language acquisition and cognition in bilingual Spanish-English speaking children. I assist in conducting and analyzing vocabulary tests, oversee the testing trails of our new Spanish vocabulary assessment , and summarizing findings to support scientific and academic publications.
I transferred to SDSU with an A.A. in Psychology from Santa Rosa Junior College, and I am currently pursuing my B.S. in Psychology with a emphasis in neuroscience, expected in 2025. I am passionate about understanding how children learn and develop in different contexts and cultures, and how to support their well-being and growth.
